Altea Beaches, Beach in Altea, Costa Blanca, Spain
Altea has a 6 kilometre seafront, made up of cliffs alternating with shingle bathing areas. There are 3 beaches worth mentioning, please see below for more information:
Playa Mascarat / Mascarat Beach
Playa Mascarat is located in the Punta de Mascarat area. It is well protected from the wind, and with clean waters proves to be an excellent spot for bathing. It also features good sea bottoms and visibility for those looking to do some snorkelling.
Facilities include; a promenade, parking, showers, restaurants, red cross, and life guards.
Playa Cap Negret / Cap Negret Beach
Made up of course golden sand mixed with pebbles, Playa Cap Negret is a long beach measuring 1.5 kilometres. Located in the popular Sierra Bernia area, it features many water sport and other facilities during the summer months. Waters here are clean and the beach is kept in a good condition all year round.
Facilities include; Water sports, children’s play areas, ramps and provision for people with disabilities, life guards, and regular police patrols.
Playa La Roda / La Roda Beach
Playa La Roda is a continuation of Playa Cap Negret leading out towards the town’s fishing port. Measuring 1.4 kilometres it is made up of course sand and pebbles. The waters here are very clean and visibility in the water is good. It is also adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Facilities include; Water sports, a promenade, parking, showers, restaurants, red cross, and life guards.
