Malaga Beaches

Malaga has a lot to offer when it comes to beaches. Investment has been made in the cities coastal front and many of the central beaches are benefiting. Great care and attention is paid to litter collection, and lifeguards/police patrols are in operation.

Playa Las Acacias / Las Acacias Beach

Playa Las Acacias runs along the city front, and is one of the main seafront stops for many that visit Malaga. The beach is itself made up of yellow-grey sand and clear waters. A great deal of attention is paid to cleanliness here and visitors should find this beach in pristine condition throughout the year. Tourism has brought with it an extensive selection of restaurants, cafes and bars; the speciality here is pescadito (fried fish). Although over a kilometre in length it can get crowded during the summer months.

Playa La Malagueta / La Malagueta Beach

Playa La Malagueta is a man made beach, with its sand imported from the Sahara desert. A small dyke has been created around it as a way of halting the erosion of the sands. Positioned in the centre of Malaga ensures its popularity, and many locals use this beach to bathe, jog and play football. A great deal of attention is paid to cleanliness and visitors should find this beach in pristine condition throughout the year.

Playa Caleta / Caleta Beach
